DueTick
The last day to act, where you'll see it.
Free trials, subscriptions, insurance, passports, applications. DueTick counts down to the day you need to act, not the day it happens. It reminds you on a day you choose, and puts the next deadline on your home screen.
Coming soon to the App StoreFor iPhone, on iOS 18 or later. Free for up to five deadlines at a time, with one optional purchase for more.
Three kinds of deadline
Some things renew. Some run out. Some just close.
DueTick starts with one question: what happens if you do nothing? A subscription renews and charges you unless you cancel. Insurance or a passport runs out unless you renew it. An application or a return window simply closes. Each kind gets its own question, its own words and its own dates.
- SubscriptionRenews and charges you unless you cancel
- ExpiresRuns out unless you renew it
- One-timeHappens once, then it's done
The day to act
It counts to the day you act, not the day it happens
Once the money has gone, it is too late to cancel. So DueTick counts down to the last good day to act, with a margin before the charge, and names both days: Cancel by Wed 30 Sep, and under it, Charges ₹649 on Fri 2 Oct.
- Cancel by2 days before a charge
- Renew by2 days before it expires
- Finish by1 day before it's due
- DatesShown as days, never times, because companies bill in their own time zone
What needs you
What needs you comes first
Open the app and the first line answers the question you came with: how many deadlines need you, or All clear. A deadline that needs an answer sits at the top with its question, such as Did you cancel it? Everything else waits quietly in a list, soonest first. Answer on the screen or straight from the reminder, and take it back if you tapped the wrong one.
- At the topWhat needs your answer now
- Next 7 daysWhat is coming up this week
- LaterEverything after that, soonest first
- UndoAfter every answer, for a few seconds
Widgets
On your home screen, so you don't have to remember to look
Most days you won't need to open DueTick at all. Its widgets show what is closing next, soonest first, on your home screen and your lock screen.
- SmallThe nearest deadline
- MediumThe next three
- LargeThe next six
- Lock screenThe nearest, in one line
Reminders
One reminder, on the day you pick
Choose when you want to hear about it. The choices only include days that still fit before the day to act. A reminder arrives at 9 in the morning, names the day to act, and never shows the amount on your lock screen. If a question comes early, Later puts it back to a day you pick.
